Hudson Sauls

Associate

Licensed in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Trial attorney Hudson Sauls, a Georgetown Law graduate, has litigated several jury trials as first chair counsel and obtained excellent results for his clients.

Hudson was inspired to attend law school while working as a paralegal at a law firm in his hometown Pensacola, Florida in which he assisted attorneys in preparing BP claims to obtain compensation for the economic harms suffered by the Gulf Coast community due to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon catastrophic oil spill. Since that experience, Hudson has been driven to help those harmed by the negligent and wrongful actions of others.

Hudson obtained a BSBA in accounting, practiced as a CPA at a regional CPA firm over two years, then moved to DC to attend law school at Georgetown University Law Center in 2017. During law school, Hudson competed in the BLSA mock trial and World Trade Organization moot court competitions and obtained a variety of litigation experience for civil plaintiff, criminal defense, and immigration law firms. Hudson also clerked for FINRA and the US DOJ Bureau of Prisons assisting attorneys in, e.g., prosecuting broker-dealers for securities law and FINRA rule violations, such as failure to understand complex investment instruments recommended to investors resulting in significant investor losses, preparing for depositions of executives charged with KYC violations, and litigating complex commercial transaction disputes with government contractors. Hudson also served at the Florida Dept. of Health prosecutorial division as a qualified representative prosecuting healthcare providers for misconduct and violations of law.

Upon licensure, Hudson practiced at a prominent workers’ compensation plaintiff firm, then obtained defense experience at another esteemed firm in Baltimore defending employers and insurance companies from workers’ compensation claims. With this experience on both sides of the bar, Hudson understands the positions and internal workings of these companies and how to leverage that information to obtain superb results for his clients.

Hudson enjoys working to right the wrongs that happen all too often in our community. He met his wife Giovanna in DC at Lincoln Theater on U Street NW while serving at his local church. He now lives in Germantown, Maryland with his wife, German shepherd, and three cats and enjoys commuting to the firm’s beautiful brownstone office in DuPont Circle in Washington, DC.
