CSCS Files Lawsuit for Victims of Silver Spring Apartment Explosion

Well, for the first time, we’re now hearing from a man who called 911 because of the smell of gas weeks before the Silver Spring explosion that left seven people dead. That was an amazing scene when that apartment building exploded. Well, tonight we’ve learned that he’s now filed a lawsuit against the apartment building and the gas company. Ann Elisa Gale talked to him and one other woman who was impacted by this explosion.

I just wanted to report a strong smell of gas in the building that has been going on for almost like 30 minutes or more.

On July 25th, Adrian Boy called 911 after he smelled gas in his apartment building. It was several weeks before the explosion that left seven dead at the Flower Branch Apartments. A National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation later revealed that the cause of the explosion was linked to a natural gas leak.

I just wanted to know what if we could have done better to just avoid what exactly happened.

Boy is now suing Washington Gas, Came Management, and the Flower Branch Apartments.

The explosion that was anticipated or could have been anticipated did happen.

Attorneys Joseph Cammarata and Alejandro Rodriguez also represent two others—a woman who was eight months pregnant when the explosion happened and her husband, who suffered knee injuries while trying to escape the flames.

Even though they lost everything, they’re thankful for many things.

Yes, I feel very blessed. We lost everything material, but we didn’t lose anything that matters the most, which is our health and our beautiful daughter.

Now, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is still conducting its investigation and expects to release the results by the one-year anniversary of the explosion in August.

Live in Silver Spring tonight, Ann Elisa Gale, ABC 7 News.

Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel (CSCS) has taken legal action on behalf of multiple victims of the Silver Spring, MD apartment explosion that resulted in seven deaths and dozens of injuries. The lawsuit targets Washington Gas, Came Management, and Flower Branch Apartments, alleging negligence in addressing a gas leak that was reported multiple times before the explosion occurred.

One of the plaintiffs, Adrian Boy, had called 911 weeks before the explosion, reporting a strong smell of gas in the building. Despite this warning, no action was taken to resolve the issue, leading to the tragic event.

CSCS attorneys Joseph Cammarata and Alejandro Rodriguez represent multiple victims, including a woman who was eight months pregnant at the time of the explosion and her husband, who suffered serious injuries while trying to escape. While they lost everything they owned, they remain grateful for their survival and their child’s well-being.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) continues its investigation and expects to release final findings by the one-year anniversary of the explosion in August. CSCS remains committed to fighting for justice for the victims and holding those responsible accountable.
