Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. is pleased to announce that Firm Partner Joseph Cammarata has been selected as a 2017 recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious honor celebrates a noteworthy career spent advocating for the injured and the wronged, and speaks volumes about the respect Partner Cammarata has cultivated throughout the local and legal communities.

The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement award is curated by Marquis Who’s Who, one of the nation’s most trusted publishers of leaders and achievers from significant fields of practice, including journalism, engineering, and law. Named after Albert Nelson Marquis, who first released the well-known Who’s Who in America publication in 1899, the Lifetime Achievement award is considered the pinnacle achievement of listees who are continually recognized by the biographical data service.

With less than 5% of listees qualifying for the Lifetime Achievement award, recipients must meet a number of requirements, including:

  • Over 20 consecutive years of listing in a Marquis Who’s Who publication
  • More than 30 years of experience in a particular field
  • Published articles highlighting a listee’s expertise and achievement
  • Notable recognition and accolades earned outside of Marquis Who’s Who

As a Dual-Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney who has earned national recognition for his tenacious advocacy and talent as a litigator, Mr. Cammarata has accumulated an extensive list of accolades throughout his career. These include, among others:

  • Continued recognition among the Top 100 DC Super Lawyers
  • Selection as one of the Metro Area’s top attorneys by Washingtonian Magazine each survey year since 1997

In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Cammarata has earned further recognition for handling numerous high-profile cases, including successful litigation in the U.S. Supreme Court. He is continually featured as a guest speaker for various legal, national, and international network programs. As an author, he has contributed works to various publications, including a book edited by CNN’s Larry King, and helped draft legislation – the DC Youth Athletic Concussion Protection Act – which became law in the District of Columbia. He also maintains active leadership roles in legal and local organizations, including being a Former President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC and Founder and Current President and Treasurer of the Brain Injury Association of Washington, DC.

Mr. Cammarata’s achievements are surpassed only by the unceasing commitment and drive he devotes to clients who come to CSCS after suffering harm and losses due to the negligent and wrongful acts of others.
