As one of the most trusted legal rating services in the nation, Super Lawyers Magazine cultivates an annual list recognizing the most accomplished attorneys in the nation. Considered one of the highest forms of recognition in the legal field, Super Lawyers is known for its thorough and rigorous selection process, which produces final lists that distinguish fewer than 5% of all practicing lawyers in a state.
This year, like many before it, CSCS has several attorneys who have been recognized by Super Lawyers, including all three of our active Partners. The 2017 edition of DC Super Lawyers includes the following members of our team:
- Partner Ira Sherman – This is the seventh consecutive year Mr. Sherman has been named to the DC Super Lawyers list, an achievement indicative of a 40+ year career spent fighting for individuals in the civil justice system. Mr. Sherman has been a driving force behind the firm’s success since he joined CSCS in 1980, and continues to serve as the Senior and Managing Partner.
- Partner Joseph Cammarata – Mr. Cammarata has been included in DC Super Lawyers every year since 2007. In addition to being selected to this year’s publication for the 11th year in a row, he was also named to Super Lawyers’ 2017 Top 100 list. This is the fifth time he has earned this exceptional distinction. Mr. Cammarata has accumulated many significant accomplishments during his time with CSCS, including high profile case victories and critical legislative efforts that directly benefit our local communities and residents.
- Partner Allan M. Siegel – Mr. Siegel’s inclusion in the 2017 list of Super Lawyers marks the seventh consecutive year he has been named among the top 5% of lawyers in DC. In addition to having solidified a record of success over 23 years of practice in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, Mr. Siegel has gained a reputation for his commitment to the local and legal communities in various professional roles, including his past presidency of the Trial Lawyers’ Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC.
- Associate Matthew W. Tievsky – Matthew Tievsky was named to the 2017 Washington, DC Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars℠, a distinction reserved for attorneys who are under the age of 40 or have been in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5% of active attorneys in the District of Columbia earn a spot on the Rising Stars list; something that Mr. Tievsky has done each year since 2014.
