Trial Attorney Megan Gibson has an extensive background in advocating for injured people's rights with strength and integrity. She is aggressive and thorough in the representation of her clients, and has successfully litigated against large entities such as the District of Columbia and WMATA.

Her practice areas include motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, medical malpractice, and other tort claims. She is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, the State of New York, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to joining Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C., she worked for other prominent DC law firms that represent the rights of individuals who were injured or victims of social injustice.

Attorney Gibson received her JD from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC in 2013. As a student attorney, she worked on litigating several cases against the District of Columbia on behalf of developmentally disabled people who were in the care of the state.

In one case, she assisted in achieving a 2.65 million verdict against DC. In addition to these successes, Attorney Gibson brought suit against a state prison system on first amendment grounds, co-authored a winning proposal on education and racial justice for a federal advocacy project, was Director of the Georgetown Law Human Rights Fact-Finding Committee, and Vice-President of Georgetown Human Rights Action-Amnesty International student group. She was Pro Bono pledge honoree and received the highest level of recognition for completing an excess of 175 hours of pro bono service.

Attorney Gibson is a member of the DC Trial Lawyers Association, Fairfax Bar Association, and the Women's Bar Association. She has lived in the DC area for nearly 10 years and is an avid outdoorswoman and yoga practitioner. She met her husband Peter in DC and lives with him, their dog Jack, and cat Merry in Virginia.
