On November 20, 2009 an Allstate insured struck the rear of our client's vehicle. As a result of the collision, our client aggravated a pre-existing condition in her neck, and had neck pain and headaches. She received medical treatment for approximately 6 months, including physical therapy, trigger point injections, and cortisone shots. While she got better, she continues to have neck pain. Allstate Insurance Company only offered our client $19,000 to settle the case, even though that was only a few thousand dollars more than her medical bills. In other words, Allstate felt that our client's pain and suffering was worth only a couple thousand dollars. The insurance company's lawyer argued that since there was only minor property damage, that our client could not have been injured. A Prince George's County jury disagreed with Allstate and awarded our client $50,000.
