Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America

The Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America focuses on ending unsafe and illegal trucking practices across the country. Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. is proud to be active in this organization and believes in the stated goal.

Attorney Ira Sherman is a member of the APITLA National Advisory Board. Attorney Joseph Cammarata is Chairman of the Virginia State Advisory Board and Attorney Allan Siegel is Chairman Maryland State Advisory Board.

Just the Beginning Foundation

Just the Beginning Foundation, formed in 1992, is a nonprofit organization working to develop interest in the profession of law among ethnic backgrounds that are underrepresented in this field. The mission of JTBF is to increase racial diversity in the practice of law for future generations. Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. is proud to be a bronze sponsor of JTBF.

Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

The Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. (TLA-DC) is a nonprofit and voluntary organization of attorneys that focus on obtaining justice on behalf of those injured as a result of the carelessness of others. It is an affiliate of the American Association for Justice. Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. shares TLA-DC’s goals of dedication to protecting consumer safety and health, enforcement of civil rights, as well as promotion of the right to trial by jury, and is proud to be a member of this organization.

Mr. Sherman and Mr. Siegel are past presidents and have held every other executive position within TLA-DC.   Mr. Siegel was recently elected to serve as TLA-DC’s Delegate to the American Association for Justice.  Mr. Cammarata serves on the Board of Governors of TLA-DC.

Brain Injury Association of D.C.

Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. has represented many clients who have suffered brain injuries. In 2007, the Brain Injury Association of D.C. was founded in order to help those impacted by brain injuries. Members of this organization include those directly affected by brain injuries, friends and families of brain injured individuals, and those who use their profession to help others through education, research, fundraising, and prevention.

Attorney Cammarata is the president and treasurer, and Attorney Sherman is the vice president of BIADC.

American Association for Justice

The American Association for Justice is a group that works to protect the American civil justice system. The fight for civil justice involves attorneys, law professors, law students and law graduates, and paralegals. The AAJ uses this dynamic group to share knowledge, strategies, tips, and techniques so that the American system of justice can continue to hold guilty parties responsible.

All attorneys of Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. are involved with AAJ as active members. Mr. Siegel was recently elected to serve as the delegate to AAJ for the Trial Lawyer’s Association of D.C.
