Years of research and studies have shown equine-assisted activities to be beneficial for a wide range of patients suffering from various conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, autism, cerebral palsy, PTSD, and more. Simple Changes is a therapeutic riding center located in Mason Neck, Virginia that offers therapeutic riding to patients from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. Riding horses improves balance and sequencing as well as muscle tone, coordination, motor skills, posture, confidence, and well-being.

Simple Changes also offers hippotherapy, an equine-assisted activity conducted by a licensed physical or occupational therapist or speech pathologist, where the therapist uses the movement of the horse to facilitate treatment. Simple Changes is dedicated to enriching the lives of their patients, many of whom suffer serious disabilities affecting all aspects of their daily lives.

At Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata, & Siegel, P.C., we care deeply about those whose lives are affected by traumatic brain injuries and disabilities. We have long supported brain injury causes, worked to raise brain injury awareness, and fought on behalf of clients suffering from brain injuries. This cause is also important to CSCS family members, as Roxana Cammarata, wife of Partner Joseph Cammarata, has volunteered at Simple Changes for many years. Recently, CSCS was proud to become a sponsor of Simple Changes and helped to replace their entire inventory of riding helmets to protect clients.
