Years of research and studies have shown equine-assisted activities to
be beneficial for a wide range of patients suffering from various conditions,
traumatic brain injuries, autism, cerebral palsy, PTSD, and more. Simple Changes is a therapeutic
riding center located in Mason Neck, Virginia that offers therapeutic
riding to patients from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. Riding
horses improves balance and sequencing as well as muscle tone, coordination,
motor skills, posture, confidence, and well-being.
Simple Changes also offers hippotherapy, an equine-assisted activity conducted
by a licensed physical or occupational therapist or speech pathologist,
where the therapist uses the movement of the horse to facilitate treatment.
Simple Changes is dedicated to enriching the lives of their patients,
many of whom suffer serious disabilities affecting all aspects of their
