Other Injuries That May Happen at the Primary Traumatic Brain Injury- Part 1

Another word health professionals may use when they talk about what may happen at the primary traumatic brain injury is axonal stretching. Axonal stretching is the stretching and tearing of certain brain tissues that can happen as a result of an impact. The axons, part of the brain’s nerve cells, may die and cause swelling in the brain. The swelling causes more injury.
